Pirsook is a dynamic space for dialogue, creation, and experimentation—where boundaries between art forms dissolve and reflection sits alongside imagination. Our mission is to support creativity, provide professional education, and cultivate a culture of dialogue within contemporary Iranian art.
The word pirsook in the Shirazi dialect means “swallow,” a free-flying migratory bird seeking new horizons. Inspired by this meaning, Pirsook Arts & Culture Center was founded online in 2008 and established its physical space in 2016 in the heart of Shiraz, aiming to build a bridge between contemporary Iranian art, culture, and literature and the wider world.
