Pirsook Publishing began its activities in 2018 with a focus on fiction, poetry, and children’s literature.
For us, literary quality is a professional commitment. By deliberately distancing ourselves from established and conventional models, we seek to open space for unheard voices and to create a platform for fresh experiments in language, form, and narrative.
Our editorial vision therefore centers on literature that, on the one hand, embraces risk, trial, and even failure as a means of moving beyond familiar narrative boundaries, and, on the other, bears witness to a wide spectrum of lived, cultural, and linguistic experiences—experiences shaped by diverse perspectives and plural memories.
While Pirsook’s current publishing program is devoted to Persian fiction, poetry, and children’s literature, our broader vision is anchored in the advancement of contemporary Persian literature, the translation of influential and paradigm-shaping works, the publication of literary essays, and the sustained development of children’s and young adult literature.
